Accessibility statement

Last updated:

I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, navigate with a keyboard, or need larger text or less motion. The site aims to meet the Israeli standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA, and is built toward the newer WCAG 2.1 level AA.

What's in place

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link
  • Headings, lists, landmarks and form labels are marked up so screen readers can navigate them
  • Text and interface colors meet the WCAG AA contrast minimums
  • Images have text descriptions; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers
  • Each language is marked in the code, and the Hebrew version is laid out right to left
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's animations are turned off
  • Form errors are shown in text next to the field, and the cursor moves to the first field that needs fixing
  • The layout works when zoomed in and on narrow phone screens

How it was tested

On September 28, 2026 every page of the site, in both languages and at desktop and phone widths, was checked with the axe accessibility engine against WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules. No issues were found. Google Lighthouse gave every page an accessibility score of 100.

The site has not yet been tested with a real screen reader (such as NVDA or VoiceOver) by a person, or by a certified accessibility consultant. Automated tools find many problems but not all of them.

Known limitations

  • The Playground games (Drum Kit, Simon Game, Dice Game) are early learning projects hosted separately on GitHub Pages. They were not built to this standard, and Simon Game relies on telling colors apart.
  • The Cafe Network demo is a separate site with its own accessibility statement.
  • Quest Ledger is a Windows desktop app and is not covered by this statement.
